Adding A New Language¶

You can add glosses to the WeSay CAWL WordPack as you would any multi-member WeSay dictionary project. You get a copy of it, make changes, then click "Send/Receive", and your changes will be sent back to the main repository. We'll then send out your changes with a future version of WeSay.

Now, in more detail:
1) If you don't already have one, register for an account here on languagedepot.org.
2) Send an email to admin@languagedepot.org, telling us the name of your account, and we'll add it to the contributor's list for CAWL. Tell us specifically what you propose to do. Let us know how you plan to assure a quality job (review processes, etc.), since we won't be able to check it ;-) We're not going to evaluate your plan; we just want to hear that you have one.
3) Get the very latest WeSay
4) If you'd like us to set up the new language glosses and a task for filling them in, let us know. If you are skilled at WeSay administration, you can do it yourself.
5) Do a "Get Project From Internet", which will bring it down to your computer:

6) Make your changes, and occasionally click "Send/Receive", being careful to fill in the "point in project history" box as you do. E.g. "Filled in a bunch of Russian glosses"/"Finished all Russian Glosses", etc.

7) When you're done, let me know so I can add the new version to WeSay.
